An
Open Golf Day, where members of neighbouring Provincial
Golf sections attend as well as guests who are not Masons. The Open
Day is our main fund raising activity. This years event will be
on Thursday 5th June 2008 at Northwood
Golf Club.

We
usually have about 80 entries including approximately 25% non Masonic
guests, in what is a most enjoyable day.

The Golf Section
enjoys a full calendar of events throughout the season, which
runs from April to October. At present, we have over 120 members,
all of whom support the section, as they are able.
The Kenneth Reed Inter Lodge
Knock-Out Cup competition, which runs throughout the season. Each
year we have approximately 30 entries. Some Middlesex Lodges/Chapters
enter two teams.

Seven Inter-Provincial matches are played. These are against Beds,
Bucks, Herts, Surrey,Oxford,Berks and West Kent.

Middlesex Brethren
are invited to other Open golfing events, held by neighbouring
Provinces. The generosity of all who participate in the seasons
activities, allow this section to make healthy contributions to
the MMSA fund.
Each year this section donates about £2000 to the general
fund, which supports Wheelpower (Formerly The British Wheelchair
Sports Foundation) and other charities.

It
costs just £10 per annum to be a member of the Golf
Section. For this you get the opportunity to enter all the above
events, receive two Golf Section Newsletters per annum (February
issue details the forthcoming golfing calendar, October issue details
the seasons results), meet Brethren from other golfing Provinces,
contribute to charity and have the opportunity to further enhance
your love of this excellent sport. If you are a keen golfer who
would like to be part of a successful Middlesex Masonic Golf Section,
receive up to date communications of golfing events in your Province
and contribute to a fund which supports excellent causes
